The 2026 CANUSA Games will feature Volleyball competition from August 7th to 9th in Flint, Michigan. Athletes from Hamilton will have the opportunity to represent their city while competing in one of the longest-running international youth sporting traditions.
Volleyball at the CANUSA Games focuses on teamwork, sportsmanship, and international friendship through sport. Athletes will compete in team-based matchups throughout the weekend in a fun and competitive environment.
The event is designed to provide athletes with a memorable experience while building friendships with players from both Hamilton and Flint.
Tryout dates, times, and locations have not been finalized yet. Families who complete an interest form will be emailed all details as soon as they are available.
At this time, CANUSA is aiming to hold volleyball tryouts on Thursday evenings.
Tryouts will be $5 per athlete, per tryout.
Please complete the appropriate interest form based on your athlete’s age group.
CANUSA believes every athlete should have the opportunity to participate. Scholarship opportunities and financial support options may be available for families requiring assistance.
Please note that participation in tryouts does not guarantee placement on a CANUSA team.
The 2026 CANUSA Games will take place in Flint, Michigan from August 7th to 9th, 2026. Athletes selected to Team Hamilton must be available for the full weekend.
Athletes travelling to Flint, Michigan for the CANUSA Games will require a valid Canadian passport. Birth certificates will not be accepted for border crossing purposes.
Billeting remains one of the most important traditions of the CANUSA Games, helping athletes create friendships, cultural connections, and unforgettable memories beyond competition.
Modified billeting options may be available for families who choose alternative accommodations during the Games weekend.
The 2026 CANUSA Games in Flint will provide athletes with an incredible opportunity to compete, represent Hamilton, and create lasting friendships through sport.

Calogero Coccaro is a dedicated individual with a passion for sports and community involvement. Having been involved with CANUSA for a year, Calogero’s journey with the organization began as a soccer athlete. Now, as a teacher and coach, he continues to contribute to the athletic community by coaching elementary school children aged 10-13 since 2012.
Beyond CANUSA, Calogero is actively involved with the Mountain Volleyball Club and the Ancaster Legacy Football Club. His commitment to sports and volunteering has been evident throughout his career, and he finds great joy in meeting new families and sharing experiences with American friends during the CANUSA Games. With his enthusiasm and dedication, Calogero continues to make a positive impact on the sports community, both locally and internationally
